Investigative Traffic Stops - Terrorist Suspects

Course Description

The capture of Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma bomber, as well as the D.C. snipers highlight the need for every officer to be trained and prepared to engage a terrorist, active shooter or other hostile element during a routine traffic stop. The potential for encountering such an individual exists in both rural and urban areas. This course teaches valuable skills for identifying suspicious signs and immediate actions steps for handling these types of individuals. Course includes a workshop and real case scenario drills with vehicles.
